Shadow Work Prompts
Gratitude
Why is it so easy to notice what's missing?
Gratitude isn't pretending life is perfect or ignoring what's painful. It's learning to notice what is still here, even while you're waiting, healing, grieving, or hoping for more.
Sometimes we become so focused on what's missing that we stop seeing what's already growing in our lives.
These prompts are here to help you gently shift your attention:
A Gentle Reminder
You don't have to wait until everything is perfect to be grateful.
There will always be something you're still praying for, healing from, or hoping will change. But there will also be moments of kindness, strength, laughter, peace, and love woven into the middle of that journey.
Gratitude isn't about ignoring what's difficult. It's about making sure the good doesn't go unnoticed.
One Small Step
Before you go to sleep tonight, think of three moments from today (not your biggest achievements) just three ordinary moments that made life a little lighter.
The more you notice these small moments, the easier it becomes to recognize that even on ordinary days, there is still something beautiful to hold onto.
